These stainless steel tie rod sleeves are made to strengthen the inherently weak stock steering installed on all 1999-2009 GM full size trucks(1/2, 3/4, and 1 ton), & SUV's including H1 Hummer. Whether you are drag racing, pulling, or even have a plow or work truck, you need these sleeves. We have replaced countless bent inner tie rods on all kinds of GM trucks from construction, landscaping, racing, and even grocery getters. The stock tie rods are just too weak for the job, especially if you are running larger than stock wheels and tires. The inner tie rods can bend and cause alignment and tire wear issues from something as innocent as just scrubbing a curb. We install these sleeves on all our fleet vehicles, especially construction trucks and have saved alot of downtime for repairs as well as extending the life of tires.
